Overview of the AreaThe shores of Durras Lake and the North Durras village are bordered by the Murramarang National Park. The National Park extends west from the sea to the catchment areas of the Durras Lake, ensuring the Lake and its surrounds are maintained in their unspoilt state, earning Durras Lake the reputation of the most pristine body of water on the east coast of Australia.The quiet of the National Park is beautiful. Its lovely clean waters offer a good breeding ground for many species of fish and also provides good catches of crabs and prawns for those who wish to experience the novelty and excitement of these activities. The waters immediately in front of Joalah Holiday Park are crystal blue with clean sandy bottom, ideal for both children and adults to frolic in safety away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and in full view of your cabin.
